Children are precious in August

At 16, Benjamin had been in and out of foster care for most of his life and was having behaviour issues at high school and in his group home. His Social Worker helped him sign up for the Peel Children’s Aid Foundation-funded Avid Runners group where he set goals, met new friends and ran his first marathon. As a result, he has a new sense of accomplishment and self worth. Benjamin now mentors new runners through the group and is making better life choices.

Look closely at the illustration created by Dwellephant for wishart’s calendar-style Annual Report for Peel Children’s Aid Foundation and you’ll see that Benjamin is literally running from trouble.
