Finally, Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation comes into full force on July 1st

As much as I love charities, I hate SPAM, junk mail and calls that come during dinner.

At long last, Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation comes into full force on July 1st. As of that date, any organization using e-mail to promote products and services are impacted by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

As of July 1, 2014, it’s mandatory that Canadian companies and charities acquire consent from all recipients in order to maintain their electronic communications with you.

Failure to comply with this legislation can result in severe fines.
